HAITI

FACTS:
On Tuesday, 12 January 2010 Haiti experienced an earthquake with a catastrophic magnitude 7.0 earthquake centered approximately 16 miles from the capital of Haiti. There have been as many as three million people affected by the quake, and an estimated 100,000 deaths. (for perspective the population of our town is about 84,000) Haiti's population is about 10,000,000. So about 1% of their population has perished. For the US this would be like if almost all of the people in California died. Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere with 80% of the population living under the poverty line and 54% in abject poverty. [sources:Wikipedia, CIA world factbook, CNN]
WHAT YOU CAN DO:
South is taking an initiative into helping with the relief in Haiti. Right now, the best thing you can do is bring money to school and donate it in one of the House Offices. There are also many other possible opportunities such as people collecting money in the beginning of school, and other various fundraisers which have yet to be decided on.

I finally got a quality graphics program! Nothing super fancy like Paint Shop Pro (which I used to have, but refuses to work on my laptop) or Photoshop. It's free, and worth at least $50. I love it.

Yesterday was the first official broadcast of Radio M.A.D. and I have to say, it went much better than I thought. We got the most listeners (about 10-20) from 7-ish till 8. It's great. This should keep me aware of the site and guilty if I don't update for a while :)

RANDOM QUESTION: Does anyone know if "til" is spelled with 1 or 2 L's? I've seen it spelled both ways and I can't figure out which way D:
Everyone tells me it's with 1 L, but spellcheck says 2, and they both look right. Argh.
